Ingredients
2 cups chopped peaches
2 tbsp ghee
1/2 cup crumbled grated low fat mava (khoya)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder

For The Garnish
almond slivers
Method
  1. Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the peaches and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Mash lightly using a potato masher.
  2. Add the mava and sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  3. Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
  4. Serve hot garnished with almond slivers.

  1. The amount of sugar added will vary depending on the sweetness of the peaches.

Interesting recipe. Never imagined that we can make halwa from fruit like peach also. I tried this recipe at home and simply loved it.
