Readymade popcorn is nice and crunchy when you buy the tub and munch on it right away. But, if you buy a large quantity and bring it home for a party or get-together, it loses its crunch in no time at all! Why opt for that option, when you can easily make crisp and fresh popcorn right at home, that too very easily in the microwave oven.

A microwave-safe bowl, butter, salt, maize kernels, and a few minutes are all that you need to conjure up yummy popcorn! You can have the Microwave Popcorn plain or with your favourite seasonings!

Tried this.... but only a few corns have popped... remaining all started burning.... I have kept it in microwave for about 5 minutes... what to do?

Tarla Dalal    Hi Shona, popping of the corns depends upon the quality of corns, as though there will be very few which will not pop. It is fine.. if that happens. But make sure you buy a good quality dry corn.. and mix it well with the melted butter before you microwave, and microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes.
