To make hot apple cider, we will first make apple juice. In a mixer put 2 cups chopped apples. Add 2 cups of water. Blend till smooth.
In a pan add the cinnamon, whole black peppercorns, cloves and roast for 3 to 4 minutes. Add nutmeg powder and mix for a few seconds.
Add the apple juice and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Strain the juice and discard the spices. Mix well.
Add the honey (optional), brandy (optional). Mix well.
Serve hot apple cider immediately.
