Bread Rolls recipe - How to make Bread Rolls

Preparation Time:    Baking Time:  25 minutes   Baking Temperature:  200°C (400°F)   Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 8 buns (8 bun )

Ingredients
2 cups plain flour (maida)
1 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp soft butter
salt to taste
oil for greasing
Method
    Method
  1. Combine the yeast, sugar and 2 tbsp of warm water in a small bowl, cover it with a lid and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Combine the plain flour, butter, salt, yeast-sugar mixture in a deep bowl and knead it into soft dough using approx. ½ cup of warm water.
  3. Cover the dough with a damp muslin cloth and keep aside for 20 minutes.
  4. Grease a baking tray with oil and keep aside.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball and place it on the greased baking tray.
  6. Cover them with a damp muslin cloth and keep in a warm place for 45 minutes or till they rise well.
  7. Bake them in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 20 minutes.
  8. Cool slightly and serve.

The outer covering of the bresd was hard, what is the reason? The bread was good though,

Tarla Dalal    Hi, the outer covering will be a little harder compare to the inside, what you can do is as soon as it is baked, brush butter on top they will remain soft....

I tried today, it came out very good. Kids love it specially when you dont eat outside bread. Very easy to make.

I love these bread rolls, they are so easy to make and taste fab when serve just immediately. I can eat all of these with butter and a bowl of soup. They are crispy from out and soft from inside..
