Bananas are a wealth of potassium and fiber. Heartpatients can benefit from these nutrients. However, they being a good source of carbs, we do not recommend this banana cucumber salad solely for diabetics.

On the other hand, coconut and peanuts are a source of healthy fats. They add satiety along with banana. And lemon juice boosts our immunity with the vitamin C it lends.   1. To make banana and cucumber salad, combine  the bananas, cucumber, green chillies, peanuts, coriander and grated coconut in a deep bowl.
  2. Cover with a cling wrap and chill for a maximum of 30 minutes or bananas will turn black.
  3. Add the lemon juice and salt to taste and toss well.
  4. Serve the banana and cucumber salad immediately.

I could never imagine a salad with bananas, cucumber and peanuts but when I tried it, it was really nice...the crunchiness of cucumber and peanuts and the sweetness of bananas made this salad a super hit...

It is sweet and spicy in taste. The sweetness of the banana is enough in enough to make the salad sweet. Along with bananas, green chillies gives a slight spicy flavour to it.
