This is a protein packed soup/patolia for babies made with omega 3 rich flaxseeds and is ideal for babies of 4 months till 2 yrs.

Ingredients
1/2 cup barley (jau)
1/4 cup rice (chawal)
1/4 cup moong (whole green gram)
1 tbsp soyabeans
1/2 cup ragi (nachni / red millet)
1/4 cup almonds (badam) , roasted
1/4 cup flax seeds
home made ghee (optional)
Method
    Method
  1. Wash and drain the barley, rice, green moong, soya beans, and nachni separately.
  2. Dry all the above grains separately for five days(should not be exposed to sun).
  3. Roast each grain separately lightly and keep aside.
  4. Combine all the ingredients and blend in a mixer to a coarse powder.
  5. Store the powder in an air tight container till used.
  6. Boil 1/2 to 3/4 cup of water in a deep pan and add 1-2 spoons of the prepared powder.
  7. Cook on slow flame for few minutes to get soup like consistency.
  8. Serve warm to the baby.
