Method


  1. Put oil in deep kathai and turn your gas on.
  2. Add rai in oil and when it starts crackling, add fine chopped cucumber in it.
  3. Add salt, tal , daliya powder(don't grind daliya completely but leave it coarce by 1/4)
  4. Cover the kathai for 2 minute and then add turmeric powder, chilli, lemon, sugar and dhaniya
  5. After 2 minutes turn your gas off and serve hot with roti.

I have consumed cucumber (raw and peeled) in salads, however get stomach pain gas problems; What is the solution to this? If cooked is there any way to avoid for gas related problems, Anticipating your advice

Tarla Dalal    Yes it is true that some may experience bloating or stomach upset after eating cucumber. Sauteing or grilling can help avoid this problem. And if you are eating it raw, then try and peel them thickly and also remove the seeds from the centre. That can also help.
