Ingredients

4 slices of bread
2 cups curds (dahi) (make sure it is not sour)
1 cup grated carrot
200 gms coriander (dhania) leaves
3 green chillies
1/2 cup grated coconut
salt to taste
1 cup (200 gms) oil
curry leaves (kadi patta) as required
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
Method


  1. Remove the coarse edges from the bread slices and dip in warm water for a few seconds.
  2. Squeeze the bread slices to drain the water and make them into round balls
  3. Fry the balls in oil to a golden brown colour and keep aside the fried balls
  4. Grind green chillies, 100 gms of coriander leaves, grated coconut, salt and mix into a paste with some water
  5. Mix the paste and curd and soak the fried bread balls in the curd
  6. Season with mustard and curry leaves
  7. Garnish with grated carrot and coriander leaves.
  8. Serve for 4 persons.
