આમલીના ફાયદા, આરોગ્ય લાભો (benefits of tamarind, imli in Gujarati)

આમલી એન્ટીઑકિસડન્ટ પોલિફેનોલનો સારો સ્રોત છે જે ઐન્ટી-ઇન્ફ્લેમેટરી ગુણ દર્શાવે છે. તે શરીરના વિવિધ અવયવો જેવા કે હૃદય, લીવર, ત્વચા વગેરેનું રક્ષણ કરી શકે છે. કેટલાક સંશોધન દર્શાવે છે કે તે લોહીનું કોલેસ્ટરોલ ઓછું કરવામાં પણ મદદ કરે છે. તેમાં ચરબી નજીવી માત્રામાં હોય છે, પરંતુ બીજી બાજુ, આમલીમાં કેલરી ઘણી વધારે હોય છે. તેથી વપરાશમાં લેવાયેલા જથ્થા વિશે ખૂબ સાવધ રહેવાની જરૂર છે. આમલી, વિટામિન સીફાઇબરપોટેશિયમમેગ્નેશિયમ અને અન્ય પોષક તત્વોનો સમૃદ્ધ સ્રોત છે, જે આરોગ્ય માટે જરૂરી છે. કેટલાક લોકોને આમલીથી એલર્જી હોઈ શકે છે, જ્યારે કેટલાકને અતિશય સેવનથી અતિસારની અનુભૂતિ થઈ શકે છે કારણ કે આમલી તેના રેચક ગુણધર્મો માટે પણ જાણીતી છે.
