For oats murukku
 

  1. To make oats murukku recipe, in a mixer add oats and daria and blend it to a smooth powder.
  2. Transfer the powder into a deep bowl, add in all the remaining ingredients and knead into a soft dough using approx. ¾ cup of water.
  3. Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and put 1 portion of the dough into a greased chakli press and cover with a lid.
  4. Press out 50 mm. (2”) diameter round swirls of murukku on a lined baking baking tray.
  5. Bake all the murukku in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 15 minutes, turn them over and bake them again for 10 minutes.
  6. Cool the baked oats murukku completely and serve or store in an air-tight container and use as required.
