Methi –mushroom-matar-malai recipe - How to make Methi –mushroom-matar-malai
Cooking Time: Total Time:    
½ cup fresh Methi or2tbsps Kasoori Methi; 1cup green peas shelled and boiled;
2 tbsp oil;
3finely chopped tomatoes;
1tsp ginger paste;
2tsp mawa;
4tsp cashew nut powder;
6tsp khus-khus (poppy seeds) powder;
4tsp grated coconut;
1tsp black pepper powder;
1tsp garam masala powder,
salt to taste;
1/4cup Malai (fresh cream) ,
1 bowl of fried Salli/fried fine potato straws or fingers
- Wash and cut the mushrooms in quarters. blanch them for 5 minutes. strain and keep aside. heat the oil in a pan & the chopped tomato with ginger paste for one minute. add the green peas, blanched mushrooms. add the mawa, cashew nut
- Powder, khus-khus powder, grated coconut, black pepper powder & garam masala powder. add two-table spoon water & cook for about 2 minutes. add the methi & cook till done. add salt to taste. lastly add malai & stir well. serve hot garnished with salli/fried fine potato straws or fingers.
