Chillies Stuffed with Paneer and Cheese

The chillies are first stuffed with paneer and cheese, then dipped in a plain flour batter and deep-fried.

Ingredients
Main Ingredients
6 bhavnagri chillies , deseeded
1/2 cup plain flour (maida)
a pinch of baking powder
salt to taste
oil for deep-frying

1/2 cup chopped paneer (cottage cheese)
1/4 cup grated processed cheese

Method
- Combine the plain flour, baking powder, salt and approx. ½ cup of water in a deep bowl, mix well using a whisk. Keep aside.
- Stuff each deseeded chillies with a little prepared stuffing.
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, dip each stuffed chillies in the prepared plain flour batter and deep-fry a few at a time till they turn crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Serve immediately with hot and sweet sauce.
