Chas or chaas is basically a spicy buttermilk recipe with a delectable tinge of tanginess and spiciness weaved in together. Chaas is best relished chilled with mint sprigs as garnish on a hot summer day.

Ingredients

1 cup curds (dahi)
4 glasses of water
3 green chillies
1/2 " piece of ginger (adrak)
2 tsp coriander (dhania) leaves
salt to taste
Method


  1. Take curd in a vessel.
  2. Add the water and salt.
  3. Mix the same with the help of beater.
  4. Add crushed ginger, chillies and coriander leaves.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Strain it in a tea strainer.
  7. Keep it in the fridge and serve chilled after lunch.
