Ingredients

Semiya(vermicelli): 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Water- 1 cup
Sugar- 2 cups
1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder

Cashews - 10 nos
1 tbsp raisins (kismis)
saffron - 3-5 threads(optional)
Method


  1. In a tbsp of ghee fry the vermicelli with cardamom powder and keep aside. boil milk and water together, when it comes to boiling point reduce the flame and add the vermicelli, stirring occasionally. when the vermicelli is cooked ( it should be firm and not be over cooked) add sugar and allow it to simmer for few minutes. when the payasam starts bec
