Ingredients
20 sliced raw banana
oil for deep-frying

To Be Mixed Into A Batter (using 1/2 Cup Of Water)
1 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1/4 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
a pinch baking soda
salt to taste

For Serving

    Method
  1. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai, dip the bananas slices in the prepared batter and drop it in hot oil. Deep-fry a few banana slices at a time on a medium flame, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.
  2. Drain on absorbent paper.
  3. Serve immediately with green chutney.
