Ingredients

3 cups boiled moong dal (split green gram) or toovar (arhar) dal
1 cup finely chopped onions
1 cup finely chopped capsicum
1 cup chopped tomatoes
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
1 tsp garam masala
2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
a little oil
(Instead of capsicums you may use bitter guard or snake guard or beans or bangalore chillies)
Method


  1. Heat oil in a pan, add cummin seds.
  2. Now add onions and fry well.
  3. Add capsicums and tomatoes and little water and let it cook.
  4. After it is cooked,add chillie powder,turmeric powder salt and fry for a few minutes.
  5. Add dal, mix well and let it remain in the pan for 1 minute.
  6. Add garam masala powder and mix well
  7. Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves.
