Sesame ginger paneer is a specialty paneer or cottage cheese dish with select vegetables and spices stir fried together. The sesame ginger paneer taste superb with the succulent paneer cubes stir fried with ginger juliennes and sesame seeds. A must have vegetable dish for parties.

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 2 servings

1 cup paneer (cottage cheese) cut into half inch pieces
2 tsp ginger jullienes
1 tbsp sesame seeds (til)
1 tbsp sesame (til) oil
1/2 cup chopped capsicum
1/4 cup chopped spring onions
1 cup vegetable stock
1 tbsp cornflour dissolved in 2 tbsp water
salt and freshly ground black pepper powder to taste
  1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add the paneer and saute for 2 minutes. Remove and keep aside.
  2. Heat the remaining oil in a pan, add sesame seeds and ginger strips and saute till the seeds turn golden brown in colour.
  3. Add the capsicum and spring onion whites and saute for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the paneer and vegetable stock, mix well and bring to boil.
  5. Add the salt, pepper and spring onion greens and mix well.
  6. Add the cornflour paste, mix well and cook till the gravy becomes thick.
  7. Serve hot.
