There are many exciting twists in this aromatic tikka. The use of sesame in the marinade imparts a luring flavour and aroma to this tikka, while a coating of dry roasted besan gives it an interesting texture, as if coated by bread crumbs! The Paneer Amritsari Tikka is sure to take you on a culinary journey to Punjab, as it exemplifies the dominance of aromatic ingredients in their cuisine.
- Combine the paneer strips with the prepared marinade and toss gently till the marinate coats the paneer strips evenly from all sides. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle besan on the marinated paneer strips and mix gently so that the besan coats the paneer evenly from all sides.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai on a medium flame and deep-fry the paneer pieces till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot sprinkled with chaat masala.
