Green Sauce ( Party Cooking)

When you think ‘green’, generally it is leaves and greens that come to your mind; however, here is a green sauce made without coriander, mint or any of the stereotyped ingredients. This, on the other hand, is a tangy sauce made with crisp green tomatoes spiked up with chillies. Store, and use as a dressing, spread or a dip, as required.

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:     Makes 2 servings

3 large green tomatoes
1 chopped onion
4 green chillies
2 tsp white vinegar (approx.)
salt to taste

  1. Cut the tomatoes into big pieces.
  2. Add the onion, green chillies and 1/2 teacup of water and cook.
  3. When cooked, blend in a liquidiser and strain.
  4. Add the vinegar and salt.
  5. Use as required.
