Ingredients

4 bananas
50 gms brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
3 tbsp brandy
sweetened beaten whipped cream or vanilla ice-cream to serve

Method
  1. Cut the bananas lenghtwise and place in a pan with the cut side down.
  2. Add the sugar, butter and microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes, turning the bananas 3 to 4 times in-between to prevent them from becoming soggy.
  3. Just before serving, pour the brandy into a large spoon and warm on a flame. Set alight and pour the burning brandy over the bananas.

Tips
  1. Serve at once with sweetened cream or with vanilla ice-cream.
