  2. Pressure cook for 2 whistles, until the dal is cooked. Allow the steam to escape and then open the lid. Whisk well and keep aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep pan, add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds, garlic and onions. Saute on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add ginger green chilli paste and tomatoes, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
  5. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander cumin seeds powder, garam masala, whisked dal, 1 cup water and salt to taste.
  6. Mix well and cook on medium flame 4 to 5 minutes. Add lemon juice, coriander and mix well.
  7. Serve turai moong dal hot.

I always made turai with chana dal. Good taste with moon dal.Love this recipe.
