Of course you need to give it some hours to set, but that is all there is to making this Quick Vanilla Ice-Cream! Not a minute’s cooking is required. Just mix all the ingredients together, freeze and blend. It’s as simple as that. The use of fresh cream and milk powder gives the ice-cream a rich consistency without requiring you to boil and condense the milk for long.

Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and whisk well.
  2. Pour the mixture into a shallow aluminium container. Cover with an aluminium foil and freeze for 6 hours or till semi-set.
  3. Pour the mixture into a mixer and blend till smooth.
  4. Transfer the mixture back into the same aluminium shallow container. Cover with an aluminium foil and freeze for approx. 10 hours or till set.
  5. Scoop and serve.

    1. What is quick vanilla ice cream made off? quick vanilla ice cream is made from easily available ingredients : 2 cups full fat milk, 1 cup milk powder, 1/2 cup fresh cream, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla essence.
Making quick vanilla ice cream

 

    1. In a deep bowl put 2 cups full fat milk.
    2. Add 1 cup milk powder.
    3. Add 1/2 cup fresh cream.
    4. Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
    5. Add 1 tsp vanilla essence.
    6. Whisk well.
    7. Pour the mixture into a shallow aluminium container. 
    8. Cover with an aluminium foil.
    9. Freeze for 6 hours or till semi-set.

A perfect vanilla ice cream, as we get in the market. Creamy, rich, smooth and delicately flavored. It is so easy and quick to prepare. I enjoy this ice cream topped with melted chocalate.

Hi, Make sure you have covered the container really well, that is why ice crystals have formed. Now, just churn it again, and put in an air tight container, it will set.

Yes I did try the recipe... but after the 2nd time freezing of 10 hours, d Icecream is set but not soft at all... it?s as hard as ever, impossible to scoop out... any idea how to make it soft?

Hi, when the first freezing is done, you need to blend it while it is semi set, till smooth. Then you freeze it for the second, make sure it is in an airtight container and sealed well. When you need to serve, keep it at room temperature for 5 minutes and then scoop it.

Hi, cream is needed to make the ice cream, or else you will get ice crystals.

Hi Annie, you can try using heavy cream instead of fresh cream. Whipping cream wont give you the similar results as fresh cream.

Hi, Whipped cream and fresh cream are totally different. For this recipe we have used Amul fresh cream.
