Hii mam.. i tried this recipe ..but my vadas were not very soft.pls tell reason why

Tarla Dalal    Hi Tanvi, The vada must have not been soft because of one of the following reasons. 1. The dal is from old stock. It was not soaked enough. 2. The dal was not ground till smooth. Ensure no grain of dal is remaining in the batter. 3. While frying, the vada must have been very thin or it was over-fried.

Medu vada... the best south indian snack. So crispy outer covering and soft from inside. The chillies, curry leaves, peppercorns gives a nice aroma and flavour to the vadas.. Serve it hot.. with dipped in sambhar. This is a must try recipe.
