Preparation & Flavor Tips

  1. Balance sourness: Amla is naturally very sour, so adding a small amount of jaggery or sugar helps balance the tartness and enhances overall taste.
  2. Control spice level: Adjust the amount of green chillies to match your heat preference  fewer for mild, more for a fiery chutney.
  3. Fresh herbs matter: Use fresh, bright green coriander leaves for a vibrant aroma and flavor.

Cooking & Texture Tips

  1. Cook briefly: Don’t overcook the amla  sautéing just until slightly softened keeps its tang and nutrients intact.
  2. Water quantity: Add just enough water while cooking or blending to get the chutney consistency you like — too much can make it watery. (General chutney advice)

  2. Refrigerate properly: If storing, keep it in a clean, airtight container in the fridge and consume within a few days.

Healthy Variations

  2. Add other herbs: Try adding mint or curry leaves for a twist on flavor. (General chutney variation idea)
