Whether you call it a nutritious clear soup, or a refreshing cuppa of tea, this Hot Mushroom Tea is a perfect choice to soothe and rejuvenate yourself for the endless challenges you need to meet every day.
Flavoured mildly with pepper, this soup can be prepared quite quickly if you have cleaned and chopped mushrooms on hand. Just remember to cook the mushrooms well in butter till the raw smell vanishes and it turns a tempting brown in colour.
- Heat the butter in a deep non-stick pan, add the mushrooms and cook on a slow flame for 4 to 5 minutes or till the mushrooms turn brown in colour.
- Add 2 cups of water, salt and pepper, mix well and cook on a slow flame for another 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot.
