Corn Rava Chila recipe - How to make Corn Rava Chila

Ingredients

To Be Mixed Altogether
1/2 cup grated carrot
2 tbsp chopped red capsicum
1 tsp chopped green chilly
salt to taste

Other Ingredients For The Chilla Batter
1 cup crushed uncooked corn (makai ke dane)
1/4 cup semolina (rava)
1/4 cup plain flour (maida)
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
2 tbsp chopped green capsicum
salt to taste
1/2 tsp fruit salt
curd as required for making the batter
oil for shallow frying
Method
For the topping

  1. Mix carrots,capsicum,chilly and salt and keep aside.

For the chilla

    For the chilla
  1. Mix all the ingredients under the heading"other ingredients for the chilla batter" and keep aside.
  2. Add dahi so that the batter should be of idli batter consistency.
  3. Spread this batter on a hot tawa and put the topping and slightly press with a spatula so that the topping sticks properly.
  4. Roast this chilla till golden brown on both the sides using oil.
  5. Serve hot with green chutney.
  6. Don't keep the batter for too long else it may become soggy.
