Ingredients
Main Ingredients
1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1 1/2 tsp dried mango powder (amchur)
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste
To Be Ground Into A Paste
1 1/4 cups green peas
1 tsp nigella seeds (kalonji)
1 tsp aniseed (vilayati saunf)
1/2 tsp grated ginger (adrak)
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
Other Ingredients
plain flour (maida) for rolling
ghee for cooking or for deep frying
Method
- Heat the oil, add the asafoetida and the paste and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the amchur powder and salt and for sauté 1 more minute.
- Cool the mixture. Add the flour and make a smooth, soft dough using water.
- Divide into 6 equal portions, roll each portion into small parathas using plain flour for dusting.
- Cook on a tava (griddle) on both sides using ghee/ oil till brown spots appear on the surface.

a very instant and an easy to make recipe... great as a quick plan for a breakfast, evening snack or even a meal in itself... The Kalonji and aniseed add a great taste to the parathas... Simply delicious...

These are simply the best parathas. It tastes excellent both with curds and without any accompaniment. It is quite satiating.
