My mother would make the normal Indian meals in the morning that would consist of Chapati, a vegetable gravy dish, dal, rice and a salad and she would make any one meal dinner recipe for a change and we would never get bored of having the same kind of dishes day to day. And as our lunch menu would consist of different courses which would be heavy, she would always suggest for something light and healthy for dinner, so would cook one of the Indian one meal dish.

One Meal Dinner Dishes Consisting Rice or Pulses:

Rice and Pulses are one of the most common ingredients used in Indian households. Every household prepares rice on day to day basis and similarly even pulses or dals are used on daily basis. Different variety of rice dishes can be made and served with Kadhi, Raita or Fresh Curds. As my mother was a working women and somedays she would be busy with work, I and my father would cook Vegetable Pulao with raita, as it’s a meal itself and is also quick to make.

Many one meal dishes can be made using Indian breads or Indian bread dough. My all time favorite dishes from the category would be wraps and rolls.

If you have left over roti’s or chapati’s and are tired to cook after a busy day, these One meal dinner dishes are surely go to.
