Rosti is an international delicacy made by cooking together grated potatoes and cheese. It is a pancake-like dish that is both crisp and succulent. A whiff of innovation has turned the Rosti into a pizza base, topped with pizza sauce and capsicum strips, seasoned mildly with salt and pepper.
The Rosti Pizza has a mind-blowing texture and a totally awesome flavour. You will love the mouth-feel that results from the intermixing of roasted potatoes with peppy sauce and crunchy veggies. Enjoy it hot and fresh.
Drinks like Apple and Orange Drink , Guava Mojito , Lemon Peppermint and Soda Drink or Minty Citrus Punch can be served with the Rosti Pizza.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a broad non-stick pan, add 1 cup of grated potatoes and spread it gently using a flat ladle to form a 150 mm. (6”) diameter circle.
- Sprinkle a little salt and pepper, cover it with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Turn the rosti and spread 2 tbsp pizza sauce, arrange ¼ cup capsicum strips and sprinkle 2 tbsp grated cheese evenly over it. Cover it with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes or till the cheese melts.
- Repeat steps 1 to 3 to make 1 more pizza.
- Serve immediately.
