  1. To make mint and ginger lemon drink, combine the mint leaves, ginger juice and lemon slices in a mortal pestle (khalbatta) and pound lightly.
  2. Transfer the mixture into a deep bowl, add the limca and mix well.
  3. Pour equal quantities of the mint and ginger lemon drink into 3 individual glasses and serve immediately.

Method for Mint and Ginger Lemon Drink

  1. To make Mint and ginger lemon drink, remove the leaves from the stem and wash it thoroughly. Use fresh mint leaves so that it doesn’t turn black and fresh mint leaves would also give a refreshing taste.
  2. You will need 1/4 cup of mint. Mint is an herb that is a great digestive aid and provides a slight boost in the energy.
  3. Take an inch of ginger, wash it and peel it with a knife. Ginger has many benefits…it is full of antioxidants and also aids in blood circulation which is very good for the skin.
  4. Once the ginger is peeled, grate the ginger.
  5. Place the grated ginger in a strainer and press it with a spoon to extract the juice out of ginger. Alternatively you can also place the grated ginger in a muslin cloth and squeeze out the ginger juice.
  6. Take a lemon, wash it and cut it into slices. This will lend a fresh lemony taste.
  7. Take mortar and pestle (khalbhatta) and place the refreshing mint leaves in it. Prefer a mortar-pestle over a mixer as we have to only lightly pound it.
  8. Add the ginger juice.
  9. Add the lemon slices. Ginger and lemon are an excellent combination and is widely used in preparation of lime and ginger syrups etc.
  10. Lightly pound all the ingredients for at about 30 seconds. This helps to extract the flavour by way of its juice.
  11. Take a deep bowl and transfer this prepared mixture into it.
  12. Add 2 cups of chilled Lemonde (lemon drink, Limca) to it. You can also add ice if required. Remember to add Lemondae (Limca) just before serving, as you want enjoy its fizziness.
  13. Mix Mint and ginger lemon drink well using a spoon.
  14. Serve the refreshing Mint and Ginger Lemon Drink immediately.
