Ingredients
for Chocolate Nut Cake
- 1 cup chopped dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds (badam)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (akhrot)
- 1/2 cup raisins (kismis)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup orange marmalade
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup grated coconut
- 1/2 cup plain flour (maida)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
Method
for Chocolate Nut Cake Recipe
- Combine the chocolate, honey, marmalade and butter in a broad non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Transfer the mixture into a deep bowl and cool slightly.
- Add all the other ingredients and mix well.
- Pour in a greased and dusted 175 mm. (7“) cake tin and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 35 minutes.
- Cool completely, demould and cut into equal wedges. Use as required.

This cake is loaded with nuts and it soft and goey just the way I like it, very good recipe for all the chocolate and nut lovers...
