To make hot apple cider, we will first make apple juice. In a mixer put 2 cups chopped apples. Add 2 cups of water. Blend till smooth. In a pan add the cinnamon, whole black peppercorns, cloves and roast for 3 to 4 minutes. Add nutmeg powder and mix for a few seconds. Add the apple juice and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Strain the juice and discard the spices. Mix well. Add the honey (optional) , brandy (optional). Mix well. Serve hot apple cider immediately.
