Roasted Almond Ice Cream with Chocolate Chips recipe - How to make Roasted Almond Ice Cream with Chocolate Chips

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 6 servings

2 1/2 cups full-fat milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp vanilla essence
3/4 cup fresh cream
1/2 cup roasted almond (badam) slivers
1/2 cup chocolate chips
  1. Combine the cornflour and ¼ cup of cold milk in a bowl, mix well and keep aside.
  2. Pour the remaining 2¼ cups of milk and sugar in a deep non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the cornflour-milk mixture, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes ,while stirring continuously.
  4. Remove the mixture from the flame and cool completely.
  5. Once cooled, add the fresh cream and vanilla essence and mix well.
  6. Pour the mixture into a shallow aluminium container. Cover with an aluminium foil and freeze for 6 hours or till semi-set.
  7. Remove the semi-set ice-cream from the freezer and transfer it in a mixer and blend till smooth.
  8. Transfer the mixture back into the same aluminium shallow container, add the almonds and chocolate chips and mix well.
  9. Cover with an aluminium foil and freeze for approx. 10 hours or till set.
  10. Scoop and serve immediately.

I like all ur recps.u r doing m confuse u mixed cmc nd gms in ice cream base that can be used in all this ice cream u didn''t add y? Plz reply

Tarla Dalal    Dear Mousa, I believe there is slight confusion in understanding our other ice-cream recipes. We generally do not use any kind of food colours or preservatives. We have always used cornflour and cream as a thickening agent for all our ice-cream recipes. Just in case you have come across any recipe mentioning CMC or GMS, please revert back to us.

Wow...What an amazing ice cream!!! It is just irresistible for kids.Almonds and chocolate chips go well with each other. Everyone in my family just loved the ice cream. It is a must try recipe. Thank you!!
