When pears are in season, the market is flooded with this wonderful fruit and it is so hard to pass by without grabbing a bagful!
If you think you have tried having it in every form from cut fruit to jam and juice, you are wrong! Have you tried pushing it into a salad? You will be pleasantly surprised as the awesome flavour of this fruit comes to the fore to delight your palate.
The Pear Salad combines pear with yummy fruits, sprouts and lettuce, all dressed in a peppy mix of pear pulp and mustard paste in an oily base. Make sure you refrigerate this salad for the suggested time and serve it chilled.
- Combine all the ingredients along with the dressing in a deep bowl and toss well.
- Refrigerate for at least one hour and serve chilled.
