- Combine the lemon grass, mint leaves and jaggery with 5 cups of water in a pan and bring it to a boil.
- Lower the flame and simmer till it reduces to about 3 cups.
- Remove from the flame, add the tea leaves, cover and allow it to infuse for a few minutes.
- Strain and serve hot.

Lemon grass tea is a herby drink made with fresh lemon grass and mint leaves. Jaggery works as the sweetner in the recipe,it lifts the taste of the recipe. To make Lemon Grass Tea, wash and cut lemon grass, keep aside.
Cut the lemongrass into smaller pieces with the help of a scissor.
Also, we will be using some mint leaves in this fresh lemongrass tea recipe, so remove them from the stem.
Wash and finely chop the mint leaves. Keep aside.
Pour 5 cups of water.
To make the fresh lemongrass tea, in a saucepan, take the lemon grass. Lemon grass has calming properties and helps relieve stress and insomnia.
Add mint leaves. Same with pudina, they have been picked, washed and then added to the lemon grass tea. These help in detoxification and cleansing.
Add jaggery for sweetness. Jaggery can be swapped with any organic sugar or honey. To enhance the flavour of your cup of lemongrass tea, you can also add green tea leaves, lemon juice, ginger root.
Mix well and bring it to a boil.
Lower the flame and simmer till it reduces to about 3 cups. The flavours will infused and the leaves would steep & become aromantic.
Remove from the flame, add the tea leaves. These are optional and you can skip if you don’t want caffeine in your tea recipe.
Cover and allow it to infuse for a few minutes.
Strain the lemon grass tea into a cup.
Serve the lemon grass tea hot.
