1 tbsp low fat curds (dahi)

  1. To make soya curds, warm the unsweetened soya milk.
  2. Add the curds and mix well.
  3. Cover and keep aside till the curds set (approx. 5 to 6 hours). In the winter, place inside a cupboard or closed oven to set.
  4. Note. don't set for more than 6 hours as the curds will turn sour.
  5. immediately store soya curds in the fridge once set. Please put soya curds in the fridge after setting or they will turn sour.
  6. Serve soya curds chilled.

making soya curds

  1. In a non stick pan 1 ltr  soya milk (umsweetened).
  2. Warm the soya milk. Don't bring it to a boil or make it very hot.
  3. Add 1 tbsp low fat curds (dahi) or curds.
  4. Transfer to a steel contianer.
  5. Mix well with a whisk. Ensure that all the lumps of curd are broken.
  6. Cover and keep aside till the curds set for 6 to 8 hours. NOTE. Don't set for more than 8 hours as the curds will turn sour. In the winter, place inside a cupboard or closed oven to set. 
  7. Curds set after 6 to 8 hours.
  8. Immediately store your curds in the fridge once set. Please put soya curds in the fridge after setting or they will turn sour.
