For ragi sheera
 

  1. To make ragi sheera, heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the ragi flour and sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Add the jaggery and mix well, add milk and mix well using a whisk.
  3. Cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  4. Switch off the flame, add the cardamom powder and mix well.
  5. Serve ragi sheera immediately.

    1. To make ragi sheera, heat 4 tbsp ghee in a broad non-stick pan.

    2. Add ½ cup ragi (nachni / red millet) flour.

    3. Sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.

    4. Add 5 tbsp jaggery powder (gur powder).

    5. Mix well using a whisk.

    6. Add 1 cup milk.

    7. Cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.

    8. Switch off the flame, add ¼ tsp cardamom powder.

    9. Mix well.

    10. Serve ragi sheera immediately.

sheera with a health touch...nice thinking...i tried it and it tasted fab..but need to be enjoyed hot.

Yes, ragi halwa is a wonderful dish. I like its taste and its better than suji halwa in terms of nutritional value and taste.
