Ingredients
For Jowar Sesame Bread Sticks
1/4 cup jowar (white millet) flour
1/4 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/2 tbsp sesame seeds (til)
1/2 tsp fresh yeast
salt to taste
1 tbsp butter
Method
- To make jowar sesame bread sticks, combine all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough using enough warm water.
- Add the butter and knead again till the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Cover with a damp muslin cloth and keep aside for 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 10 equal parts.
- Grease your hands with oil as we are going to roll the dough into a 100 mm. -125 mm. (4" x 5") length cylinder shape.
- Place them on a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 20 minutes, turning sides over at 10 minutes.
- Cool jowar sesame bread sticks and enjoy them.

In a bowl put 1/4 cup jowar (white millet) flour.

Add 1/4 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta).

Add 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds (til).

Add 1/2 tsp fresh yeast.

Add salt to taste. We added 1/4th tsp salt. In general it's best to restrict salt usage for toddlers.

Gradually add enough warm water to make a soft dough. We added 1/4 cup water and then 1 tbsp water.

Knead into a soft dough.

Add 1 tbsp butter.

Knead again till the dough is smooth and elastic.

Cover with a damp muslin cloth and keep aside for 15 minutes.

Dough has now risen.

In a bowl put 1/4 cup jowar (white millet) flour.

- Grease your hands with oil as we are going to roll the dough with our palms. We are greasing because the dough is very soft and will stick to your hands if no oil is used.

Roll out each portion into a 100 mm. to 125 mm (4" x 5") length cylinder shape between the palms of your hand.

Line a baking tray with parchment papaer.

Place the rolled bread sticks dough on the tray.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200 C ( 400 F) for 10 minutes.

Hi, You can pre-heat the oven at 140 for 5 to 7 minutes.

Yeast in that small quantity is required to for the perfect dough and for the bread sticks to bake well.

Hamari choti kavya ke daat neekal rahe hai. Usse humne yeh breadstick chabbane ko di. Kavya isse chabake khane ka pura mazza leti hai. Usse accha bhi lagta hai aur muze bhi accha lagta hai ki meri beti healthy food khati hai.
