For eggless cheese crackers
  1. To make eggless cheese crackers, sieve the flour.
  2. Add butter and rub with finger tips till it resembles breadcrumbs.
  3. Add the cheese, caraway seeds and salt and make a semi-stiff dough by adding milk.
  4. Roll out the dough to 175 mm. (7”) diameter circle using a little plain flour for rolling. Cut off the extra edges using a knife to make a square.
  5. Cut into 9 equal squares. Keep collecting the scrapings of the dough to make 3 more squares. You will get 12 squares in all.
  6. Arrange them on a baking tray and prick all over with a fork.
  7. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 15 minutes.
  8. Cool the eggless cheese crackers completely and serve with any dip of your choice.

Are they supposed to be soft because mine didnt turn out to be crispy. Taste wise it was good.

Cheese crackers flavoured with jeera is a good tea time snack.I served these crackers as a starter with different dips..My guest loved them.. It is also a good jar snack for kids..

I just made these and i did double the recipe. They''ve turned out great. ...as they''re cooling they''re getting crispier. The taste is good too. I shook some seasalt on some as well. Love them...definitely will make more, so easy.

I just did this today, it was good. The thinner you roll these crackers, the crispier they bake, and they are very quick to burn, so don''t step out of the kitchen to do anything else while making these! I also noticed that the cheese flavour is a bit muted when the cookies were cooled/chilled, so next time I''ll use a very sharp, strong flavoured cheese.
