Tarla Dalal    Hi Zahra, We have tried the recipe twice. Make sure the oven has been pre-heated well and the muffins are kept at the middle shelf and not lower shelf in the oven.

I love Cinnamon flavor and apple is my favorite fruit. i loved this combination. The best part about this muffins is that it is made of wheat flour. They were so spongy and the taste was also just perfect. Thanks for the recipe!

What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda? Are they same? If not, can baking soda be substituted by baking powder? Which are the best brands for baking soda and baking powder available in the market?
| Hide Replies
Tarla Dalal    Hi Seema, baking powder and baking soda are two different ingredients.. Baking Soda -It is a white powder with crystalline grains, which is used as a leavening agent. It aids in leavening and tenderising. Baking Powder - It is a fine white powder, which is used as a leavening agent. That is, it helps dough, batter, etc., to rise well. baking soda is easily available in grocery stores, and baking powder is available in different brands like blue bird, weikfield etc.. I hope this information would help you.. Do let us know if you have any more query. We would be happy to help you.. Happy Cooking..
