Tarla Dalal    Hi, You can deep fry in ghee, till it becomes crispy. Cool it and blend to a coarse powder and add it to the mixture, along with the jaggery.

I would like to know if we can add melted jaggery instead of grated jaggery to the whole wheat-ghee mixture once it has cooled down. Jaggery sometimes has small stones that can be filtered out if it melted and not if it is grated.

Hello Ma''am! I have grown up seeing ur recipe books in my mom''s kitchen. Any new dish and we knew where is the origin:) Thank you for the efforts you put in your recipes. It makes things simple for us. I have a question. I like to add less ghee and less sugar/ jaggery in ladoo. But then it gets very difficult to tie them up and they break easily. Could you pls suggest if it is due to less ghee or some other issue. Any tips on how to fix it? Thank you in advance:)

Tarla Dalal    Hi, Adding less jaggery and ghee would make it difficult to bind. You can add little of the jaggery and ghee and along with that add soaked chia seeds, which will help to bind.
