When making this, remember to pour the melted chocolate into the piping bag while it is still warm. If it gets cold it will not flow from the bag, and you will not be able to shape the chocolate chips.

1/2 cup roughly chopped dark chocolate
  1. Put the chocolates in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 1 minute and mix well.
  2. Cool it slightly and pour it in a piping bag and make a small hole at the tip using a scissor.
  3. Put a plastic sheet on a clean dry chopping board.
  4. Now, pipe out small chocolate droplets over it at regular intervals, till all the chocolate is over.
  5. Place the plastic sheet along with the board in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  6. Scrape it carefully using a butter knife.
  7. Use it immediately or store it in an air-tight container in the fridge and use as required.

Tarla Dalal    They are like chocolate chips available in the market - hard but not soft enough to melt. However you need to store them in the refrigerator.

Its really amazing so easy and so simple.But I have a question. Can I use chocolate compound inspite of chocolate?

Tarla Dalal    Hi Mayanka, Yes, you can use chocolate compound but, it will be slightly sweet compared to the one made with dark chocolate.
