White Chocolate Mousse with Strawberry Sauce | eggless white chocolate mousse | Indian style mousse |
The White Chocolate Mousse with Strawberry Sauce is a luxurious dessert that blends creamy sweetness with fruity freshness. This eggless white chocolate mousse is silky, airy, and light, making it a delightful treat for all ages. The contrast between the smooth mousse and the bright, tangy strawberry sauce creates a perfect harmony of flavours. It’s an elegant dessert that fits beautifully into any Indian style mousse menu.
The strawberry sauce forms the refreshing layer that balances the richness of the mousse. Made using mashed strawberries, a touch of cornflour, sugar, and a dash of lemon juice, it thickens beautifully into a glossy, sweet–tart topping. Cooking it briefly on a medium flame helps the flavours blend while retaining the natural freshness of the strawberries. Once cooled, this vibrant sauce becomes a stunning contrast to the creamy white chocolate beneath it.
The mousse itself is prepared using just a few simple ingredients like white chocolate, milk, whipped cream, vanilla essence, powdered sugar, and a hint of lemon juice. Melting the white chocolate with milk ensures a smooth, lump-free base that blends seamlessly with airy whipped cream. This gives the mousse its trademark light and velvety texture, without the need for agar-agar or eggs—a major highlight of this recipe.
Gently folding the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture is the key to achieving the perfect consistency. The addition of vanilla essence enhances the aroma while the powdered sugar adds subtle sweetness. The lemon juice helps brighten the flavours, cutting through the richness. This careful layering of taste and texture makes the mousse incredibly satisfying and indulgent.
Assembling the dessert is just as enjoyable. The white chocolate mousse is poured into individual glasses for a professional, elegant presentation. Each serving is topped with 2 tablespoons of strawberry sauce, followed by a soft dollop of whipped cream and a fresh strawberry halve for garnish. These simple elements come together to create a visually stunning dessert with a gourmet finish.
Once refrigerated for at least two hours, the mousse sets beautifully on its own—no setting agents required. The chilled layers of creamy mousse, glossy strawberry sauce, and fresh fruit create an irresistible combination. Whether made for celebrations or casual indulgence, this dessert is versatile, easy to prepare, and guaranteed to impress. When strawberries are out of season, strawberry crush can be used as a substitute—just remember to skip the added sugar to maintain the perfect balance of sweetness.
