can jaggery be used instead of sugar. if yes, what quantity and how long it should be cooked

Can I use dessicated coconut instead of the fresh and how much. can I use coconut oil instead of ghee?

i followed the recipe step by step but lodoos become too tight n hard is there anyway to cure them?

Tarla Dalal    Hi, This recipe has been tried two times and it came out perfect, what could have wrong with your ladoos is the cooking of the sugar syrup that is the only thing that can make your ladoo''s hard....

Was very excited to try this recipe as its from Tarla Dalal, unfortunately after cooling the laddoos didn''t form very easily, they would break apart??. With much effort then I finished forming them all. I don''t think I''ll try it again??

Tarla Dalal    Hi Farida, It is important to cook the sugar syrup properly. If the sugar syrup is not cooked properly, it will affect the binding of the laddoos. This is a very unique combination which i had never heard before. I made this recipe for Raksha Bandhan and it turned out really good. All my brothers enjoyed it thoroughly and i am soon going to make it again.

came out very gud....bt lil sticky aftr making ladu so i covered d ladus with dry coconut pwd..!! tasted yummy
