Hi , What is sodium Benzoit ? Can I make the ketchup without using it as I would love to make it without preservatives. And instead of sugar can dried grapes (kismis) be added for sweetness for I would love to use less sugar than the one available in markets ?

Tarla Dalal    Hi Akila, yes you can make it without sodium benzoate.. the only thing is you will have to use it within a weeks time.. and regarding grapes.. i am not sure for the sweetness.. But you can adjust the sweetness according to your taste..

Toamato ketchup.. tangy and chatpata in taste.. never thought to make ketchup at home.. but when a made.. it taste really yumm.. thanks for the recipe..
