The Orange Butter Icing is an attractive icing with the strong flavour of orange rind that can be piped onto cakes and cupcakes, to raise them to the status of culinary masterpieces! Orange juice and orange rind lend this icing a balanced sweet, tangy and slightly bitter flavour that is sure to be enjoyed and remembered by everybody, while the specks of grated orange rind also give the icing a unique appearance. Decorate your cakes with this amazing icing, to make them all the more appealing.
- Sieve the icing sugar in a deep bowl and keep aside.
- Place the butter in a deep bowl and mix it with a help of a wooden spoon till it is light and smooth.
- Add the sieved icing sugar gradually and mix well.
- Add the orange rind, orange juice, orange colour and orange essence and mix well.
- Use as required.
