Method
  1. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai, add the onions and garlic and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  2. Add the tomatoes, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside to cool.
  3. Once cooled, blend in a mixer till smooth.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the same deep non-stick kadhai , add the chilli powder, sugar and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  5. Store in an air-tight container and use as required.
