xcess sugar or sugary foods like readymade juices, cookies, cakes, candies etc in early age can lead to tooth decay or overweight and hyperactive child. Avoid adding extra sugar to milk, fruit juices and other foods; instead sweeten the foods using mashed/ pureed banana, apples, pear, mangoes and dates. You may use small quantities of healthier alternatives like jaggery or honey for foods like porridge, kheer, milkshakes etc.
