Mexican Green Sauce |  Creamy Capsicum Sauce | Green Sauce for crepes, tacos |

This vibrant Mexican Green Sauce is a flavour-packed blend made primarily from capsicum, giving it a refreshing and mildly spicy profile perfect for global recipes. The natural aroma and sharpness of green capsicum shine through beautifully, making it an excellent base for a variety of dishes. When blended with milk, the sauce develops a smooth, velvety texture that pairs wonderfully with Mexican and fusion cuisines.

The creamy richness of this Creamy Capsicum Sauce comes from a simple combination of milk, butter, and plain flour, which together form a béchamel-style base. The flour helps thicken the sauce while butter adds a delightful depth of flavour. When the capsicum-milk mixture is added to this base and whisked continuously, it transforms into a luxurious, glossy sauce that coats every ingredient beautifully.

Perfect as a Green Sauce for crepes, tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas, this recipe also works beautifully as a pasta sauce, dip, or creamy topping for baked dishes. Its versatility makes it a valuable addition to your kitchen repertoire, especially when you want to add a Mexican twist to everyday meals. The gentle heat and vibrant colour add liveliness to any dish it accompanies.

Capsicum is a veggie that’s truly bursting with flavour—even a few pieces instantly enhance the aroma and taste of any preparation. Naturally, using it as the main ingredient in a Mexican Green Sauce makes this recipe bold and exciting. However, because capsicum has a strong flavour, it needs to be balanced correctly to make the sauce pleasant and versatile. The milk tones down its intensity, while maida gives the sauce a smooth and creamy consistency.

With just a pinch of salt and pepper, this sauce comes together beautifully, offering a harmonious balance of creamy, subtle, and mildly spicy tones. Whether you drizzle it over crepes, spoon it into tacos, or mix it with cooked vegetables, this capsicum-based cream sauce elevates every dish it touches. Use it immediately or store it for later—its freshness and flavour make it a reliable and delicious addition to your cooking.
