LURE FOR LIQUIDS
nce your baby is 6 months it is wise to begin with 1 or 2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) of cow’s milk, formula milk, thin vegetable soups (carrot, tomatoes, bottle gourd), coconut water, whey water, freshly squeezed fruit juices (sweet lime, orange), dal water, rice kanji etc. These liquids can partly replace (3-4 times/ day) the breast milk by increasing gradually to about half a cup per day. However remember to boil the milk and strain the juices, soups well to avoid any indigestion or choking.
